Policies

Our goal at All Paws Aboard is to provide your pets with the best care possible. Please take a moment to review our polices and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions

Meet and Greets

An in-home interview or “Meet and Greet” is required for all new clients prior to our first scheduled visit. While we can tentatively pencil in your dates, we must meet you and your pets and assess your needs before we make a commitment to providing care for your pets. Due to the heavy scheduling over the weekends, our meet and greets are typically done weekday evenings after 5pm.

During the “Meet and Greet” we will have the opportunity to meet you and interact with your pet(s). We will review forms, sign agreements, and do a quick walk through to learn where your pet's supplies are including food, medicine, leashes, walking area, etc. We like to allow enough time to make sure all questions are asked and answered so please set aside a minimum of one hour. We strongly suggest this interview take place close to the start of our services so meeting us will still be fresh in your pet’s memory.

**Please have 2 copies of your key made prior to our meeting as well as your pets most recent vet records to show they are up to date with vaccinations.

Scheduling/Cancellations

To schedule or cancel a visit please call or email Mary and Kim. Though we understand the convenience of leaving a note for your daily dog walker we do insist that all scheduling requests go through one of us to ensure that there is no confusion. We do not charge extra for last minute visits and will do our best to accommodate all of your requests. However, the earlier we know your needs the more likely it is that we will be able to meet them.

f you need to cancel a visit please call at least 3 hours in advance of our scheduled arrival time. Cancellations made less than 3 hours of a scheduled visit may be subject to a charge equal to 50%. If we arrive at your home and can not gain access, your pet is not at home, or you have decided that you no longer need the visit, you will be charged for the full amount of the scheduled visit.

Because of our high demand during the holidays, cancellations are very critical to our scheduling. Because of this, cancellations for scheduled holiday visits must be made at least 5 days prior to the first date of service to avoid a charge. Cancellations made less than 5 days of the first holiday visit may be subject to a charge equal to 50% of the scheduled visits. Full charges will apply to cancellations made less than 24 hours during holiday seasons.

All that said, we do understand that emergencies happen and we reserve the right to waive any cancellation fees when such situations arise.

Payments

Payment for dog walking services is due at the end of each week. For pet sitting visits, payment is due within 7 days of the last service provided. We accept cash or checks. Checks may be made payable to "All Paws Aboard Inc."  Payments may be left with the walker/sitter at the end of each week or mailed to All Paws Aboard Inc at 72 North State Rd #416, Briarcliff Manor NY 10510.

We understand the current economical climate and have compassion for those affected. Please do not hesitate to speak with us if it becomes difficult to pay the weekly fees. As always, we will do our best to meet your needs and find a solution best for everyone.

Cancelled/Returned Checks

If a check is cancelled or returned for insufficient funds, you will be charged a $20 fee. If this happens more than once, you will be required to pay by cash or money order in advance before any future services will be rendered. We reserve the right to refuse services due to insufficient payment history.

Holiday Visits

All services performed on a holiday are subject to an extra fee. This charge also applies to any regularly scheduled visits that fall on a holiday. We encourage you to make reservations in advance for holiday visits, especially Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's as we book up quickly. 100% of this fee is given to the pet sitter caring for your home and pets on the holiday.

Additional fees of $5 per visit, $15 per day for overnights and $10 per day for boarding will apply on the following holidays:

Extreme Weather Conditions

At All Paws Aboard, your pet’s health and safety is always our first concern. With this in mind, there may be a few days during the year that we need to change your scheduled visit as we adjust for the weather. In extreme hot and/or cold conditions we will shorten the length of your dog’s time outside. We will make sure they get a chance to do their business and spend the remainder of the visit indoors. During snow storms, we will not put any pets in our cars and will cancel all doggie play dates. This determination will be made in our sole best judgment and with a concern for the safety of all. No exceptions other than an emergency vet visit will be made.

Please call if you are staying home or returning home early due to bad weather. Our goal is to get everyone off of the roads and safely home as quickly as possible.
